    Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure that is used to treat varicose veins and spider veins that are blue in colour. We normally use a laser to treat the red spider veins. This involves injecting a solution called a sclerosant directly into the affected veins. The solution irritates the vein lining this causing the vein to collapse, stick together, and eventually the body reabsorbs the damaged vein. Over time the vein fades from view and the veins deeper in the skin take over the role of the damaged vein.

    What Our Clients Say

Im a GP and spend many hours walking and standing. I developed the veins a couple of years ago. Ive had three treatments and am quite happy with the results.
I noticed after my 2nd pregnancy that I had veins at the back of my legs. Dr Ghoor suggested we do sclerotherapy. After the two treatments the red veins were then treated with the laser. I’m very happy with the results
